a few things to know
Insurance Verification
All appointment requests are subject to insurance verification and eligibility confirmation. Coverage, copays, deductibles, and authorization requirements vary by plan and state. Appointments are not confirmed until insurance eligibility has been verified. For some insurance plans, we use Headway to handle billing and administrative services, helping streamline your experience.
Appointment Requests vs. Confirmed Appointments
Submitting a booking request does not guarantee an appointment. Your request will be reviewed, and you will be contacted to confirm scheduling once eligibility and availability are verified.
Cancellations & No-Show Policy
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a fee, as permitted by insurance and applicable regulations.
Clinical Appropriateness
All services are provided based on clinical appropriateness and medical necessity. LifeSpan Psychiatry reserves the right to determine whether services are appropriate for outpatient telepsychiatry care.
Telehealth Requirements
Services are provided via secure telehealth. Patients must be physically located in a state where the provider is licensed at the time of the appointment and have access to a private, stable internet connection.
Not for Emergencies
LifeSpan Psychiatry does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing a psychiatric or medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Walk-In and Virtual Walk-In (Same-Day Virtual Visits Available)
Walk-in and virtual walk-in appointments are limited. Please submit a request to check current availability.
Chat Service
Please note that chat is available during business hours and may not be monitored in real time. Submitting a form will ensure your inquiry is properly received and addressed. Chat is for general questions only and is not intended for clinical concerns or emergencies.
